Nikki Chakas has always been fascinated by religions and cross designs from around the world. Born in the Congo, she developed an early interest in African and Mediterranean art. Her worldly travels were inspired by the history and artifacts of Cyprus, the island on which her parents were born, and by her curiosity for diverse cultures and languages. Besides having been a business owner of two companies, Nikki also raised two sons and enjoys designing pottery, jewelry and stain glass. Today, Nikki has settled in Scottsdale, Ariz., and is thrilled to be sharing with you her Web site – dedicated to her cross jewelry designs as well as the history, understanding, and design of crosses throughout the world. |
